Description
TriplePlay isn’t a pickup swap in the usual sense — it’s a hexaphonic tracking system that sits behind your bridge and translates every string’s pitch and dynamics into MIDI data, wirelessly, so your guitar can drive synths, sample libraries, and virtual instruments alongside (or instead of) your normal tone. Because it tracks per-string, you get real polyphonic control: string splits, fret splits, and the ability to layer or switch between up to four instruments while you play.
The controller itself is a slim (under half an inch) unit that clips in behind the bridge with the included mounting hardware — no drilling, no permanent mods, and it’s low-profile enough to leave in place case and all. A rechargeable Li-ion battery gives north of 20 hours between charges, and onboard controls (menu navigation, volume, and a guitar/mix/synth switch) stay within easy reach mid-performance. The wireless USB receiver plugs into your computer or iOS device and holds a signal out past 100 feet, so you’re free to roam without a 13-pin cable underfoot.
Fishman backs the hardware with a genuinely deep software bundle to get you composing and mixing immediately:
- Native Instruments — KOMPLETE Elements and Guitar Rig LE
- Notion Music — PROGRESSION 2
- IK Multimedia — SampleTank 2 XT and AmpliTube Custom Shop
- PreSonus — Studio One Artist TriplePlay Edition
