Description
If you’ve ever fought a hex screw buried under a locking saddle just to nudge intonation half a millimeter, Hollow Points were built to end that particular struggle. This set of six solid brass inserts drops into your double locking tremolo and gives you direct, unobstructed access to the saddle position screws — no more fine-tuning blind or backing off string tension every time you need to move a saddle.
Originally developed as a retro-fit for the Floyd Rose Tremolo System, Hollow Points also work across most licensed variants, including Ibanez Edge trems. They’re happiest on recessed/low-profile setups, where they preserve the most fine-tuning range. Once installed, they pair with the BLITZ Method (details on the maker’s Instructions and FAQ pages) for a repeatable, faster path to accurate intonation and better tuning stability.
Beyond the setup speed, brass construction adds a bit of extra mass at the bridge — many players notice a firmer, more sustained feel — and the finish gives the whole tremolo a beefier, more finished look. This version comes in Black Cherry/Chrome, with Black and Gold also available.
Each set includes:
- 6 Hollow Point Intonation Inserts
- 6 Threaded Set Screws
- 1 x 3mm Hex Wrench
- 1 x 2.5mm Hex Wrench
- 1 x 2mm Hex Wrench
Everything needed to install and start dialing in intonation is in the box — just add a screwdriver’s worth of patience the first time through.
