Description
L.R. Baggs built its reputation on the Violin Pickup’s unitary design, and here that same philosophy gets translated for banjo players. Rather than clamping a separate transducer onto the bridge, they’ve molded the sensor directly into a 5/8″ maple bridge itself, so the pickup becomes part of the instrument’s structure rather than an add-on. Because it sits at the source of vibration, it reads the banjo’s natural character honestly, with none of the acoustic compromises that come from surface-mounted or under-saddle alternatives.
The bridge ships with a fully custom jack and mounting system engineered specifically for this pickup. It’s built to hold up under regular gigging while staying visually unobtrusive on a well-loved instrument, and the whole setup goes in fast, no permanent modifications or workshop visit required.
- 5/8″ maple bridge with integrated pickup
- Unitary construction for strong sensitivity and clean signal transfer
- Custom-engineered jack and mounting hardware
- Installs in minutes, no luthier needed
If you’ve wrestled with clip-on pickups that dull your banjo’s snap or shift under stage lights, this is the fix: a bridge that’s already a pickup, wired through hardware built to match it.
