Description
Nylon string players are picky for good reason: most pickups either flatten the guitar’s natural warmth or introduce that glassy, quacky edge that has nothing to do with how the instrument actually sounds in the room. The iBeam sidesteps both problems. At roughly 1/3 of an ounce, this patent-pending bridge plate transducer adheres to the inside of the guitar’s bridge plate without altering the top’s vibration or the guitar’s acoustic voice.
What you get amplified is genuinely close to what you hear unplugged—finger squeak, top taps, the woody complexity of nylon strings—reproduced with enough microphonic detail to feel alive, but engineered to resist feedback so you’re not fighting the system at stage volume. No piezo quack, no artificial brightness, just your guitar through a PA or amp.
Installation is refreshingly painless. A placement jig is included so you can position the transducer for optimal pickup inside the body in a matter of minutes, no luthier required. This particular unit ships pre-attached to the Strapjack Plus, giving you an integrated output jack solution alongside the pickup itself.
