LR Baggs spent fifteen years perfecting acoustic pickup design before turning that expertise toward the electric guitar – and rather than cram a piezo into an existing bridge, they built the bridge and transducer together as one integrated system. The result is the X-Bridge: a fixed (hardtail) Strat bridge that adds a genuinely acoustic-flavored voice alongside your magnetic pickups.
The idea came from a simple observation: a great Strat already covers blues, rock, clean tones, and jazz. What it’s missing is a convincing acoustic character, and that’s exactly what the X-Bridge unlocks. Because the sensing element lives in the bridge itself rather than under the strings, you get a responsive, dynamic acoustic-style signal with none of the feedback headaches that plague soundhole or under-saddle solutions on solidbody instruments.
This is the Fixed Bridge version, finished in chrome, and built for non-tremolo Strats:
