Lace built the USA (Ultra-Slim Acoustic) Sensor for players who love the growl of a resonator but hate fighting a bulky pickup to get it. At just .275″ tall, it’s the slimmest full-size humbucker on the market, engineered specifically to sit low and stay out of the way in resonator setups where clearance is tight and every fraction of an inch matters.
Don’t let the low profile fool you – this is a true duo-coil design, not a stripped-down single coil pretending to be something else. That means you get the noise-cancelling, balanced character of a humbucker in a body thin enough to slide into places a standard pickup simply can’t. Installation is fuss-free too: a non-marring adhesive tape holds the USA Sensor firmly in place, whether you’re setting it up in the neck area or the bridge area.
It ships with a quality cable terminating in a Switchcraft 1/4″ female jack, which doubles as a smart option for players who want a more permanent install. Lace also has USA Sensor variants in the works for mandolin and other instruments, so this slim-profile approach isn’t a one-off.
