Description
Splitting your signal to two amps usually means losing something — that natural pull between pickup and input impedance that makes your guitar feel like your guitar. The Switchbone fixes that. Built around the same Class-A circuitry found in Radial’s JD7 Injector, it drives two amplifiers cleanly, without clicks, pops, or the buffered, sterile feel that plagues most AB-Y boxes.
The secret is Radial’s Drag control, a single knob that dials load correction back in, restoring the give-and-take between guitar and amp that gets flattened when you split or buffer a signal. Output 2 is transformer-isolated for total hum and ground-loop elimination, and a 180° polarity reverse switch keeps both amps locked in phase with each other.
For soloing, the onboard VariBoost circuit hands you full foot-switchable control over both boost gain and mid boost, so you can push a lead without reaching for another pedal. The ToggleMode footswitch uses bright flashing LEDs to make switching intuitive — no more tap-dancing between functions mid-song. A buffered tuner output stays live at all times for instant tune-ups without interrupting your amp signal.
Setup is straightforward: guitar into the input, amps into OUT-1 and OUT-2, ground lift as needed to kill loops, and Drag dialed in until your rig feels like a single amp again — just doubled.
