Description
Session legend Tim Pierce chased the tone of his beloved Naylor SD60 amp, and Rockett bottled it into this signature OD/Boost. The overdrive side is smooth, warm, and touch-sensitive, the kind of drive that lets singing lead lines breathe without turning harsh or brittle as you dig in.
Flip to the other half and you get a Power Amp section voiced to emulate a full-blown tube power amp running 5881 tubes — fat, loud, and packed with punch rather than fizz. It’s less a “boost” in the thin, treble-spike sense and more a way to push your amp into feeling bigger without losing low-end weight.
- Overdrive side modeled after the Naylor SD60’s smooth, warm breakup
- Power Amp/Boost side emulates a tube power amp using 5881 tubes
- Use either side independently, or cascade them together for a genuine 2-in-1 drive stack
- Great for players who want singing sustain on leads and extra shove on rhythm tones
This particular unit is a demo pedal — fully functional and ready to work, just previously used for demonstration purposes rather than sold new in box. If you want Tim Pierce’s amp-in-a-box tone at a lower entry point, this is the one to grab.
