Description
The MonsterTone PT Neck pickup is Schecter’s tribute to their original F500T—the design credited with pioneering single-coil tapping. Rather than just chasing vintage specs, this one’s built to capture the actual feel of that circuit: the spank, the twang, and the airy top-end sparkle that made classic T-style guitars a staple across genres from Bakersfield country to jangly indie-pop.
Under the hood, a ceramic magnet is direct-coupled to the bobbin for a punchy, focused response, while six nickel-plated carbon steel pole pieces (.25″ each) keep string-to-string balance even and articulate. The traditional VFB bobbin construction stays true to the format T-style players expect, and the 3-conductor Teflon-coated wire harness supports the tapped design—giving you access to that dual-voice flexibility the F500T was known for.
At 6.6k ohms output, it sits in a sweet spot: enough push for clarity and cut without losing the chime that defines this pickup family. Spacing is a universal 51mm, so it drops into standard T-style routing without a fight.
