Description
Before Fender standardized flat pole pieces on the Telecaster neck pickup, an earlier run used staggered, raised D and G poles to compensate for wound string output and improve overall string-to-string balance. That short-lived design is the inspiration behind the Antiquity 1955 Neck pickup — built to recapture both the look and the feel of those early units, not just the sound.

With those raised D and G poles doing their job, chords stay even and single-note lines don’t thin out on the wound strings — a subtle fix that early Tele players noticed and loved. Drop this into your neck position for that airy, slightly aged twang with just enough clarity to cut through a mix, whether you’re chicken pickin’ or laying down warm rhythm tones.
