Description
Seth Lover built the original PAF to be simple, musical, and full of quirks — no two wound quite alike. Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity humbuckers chase that same character, right down to letting DC resistance vary pickup to pickup instead of forcing a match. Nothing here is wax potted either, so you get the looser, more open, slightly microphonic vintage voice that so many players chase and so few reissues actually deliver.
The nickel silver covers and pole pieces are artificially aged, giving the set the look of a guitar that’s been gigged hard for four decades — worn, dull, and honest rather than shiny and new. Every pickup is hand-built in Seymour Duncan’s dedicated “Antiquity” room and signed on both the magnet and bottom plate, so you know it’s the real thing and not a stock humbucker with a relic finish sprayed on top.
Included with each pickup is a front-tapered mounting ring plus the mounting screws to go with it, ready to drop into your build.
