Description
Seymour Duncan built the Antiquity series to sound like it’s already lived a full life inside a well-worn Jazzmaster, and this neck pickup delivers exactly that: soft, aged-magnet character with a slightly compressed top end and a warm, vocal midrange that modern flat-out single coils just don’t have.
This unit is wound “top going” with North polarity. Pair it with the matching Antiquity bridge pickup (wound “top coming”, South polarity) and the two work together as a hum-canceling set, while each pickup retains the traditional pole spacing Jazzmaster players expect. The magnets sit proud from both the top and bottom of the flatwork, a design detail that smooths out the response across the strings and gives that unmistakable Jazzmaster shimmer without any harshness.
Every Antiquity pickup is built to drop straight into a vintage-spec Jazzmaster, and comes ready to install with mounting screws, a wiring schematic, and period-correct “push back” cloth-braid hookup wire, so the install looks as authentic as it sounds.
