Description
Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity for Precision Bass takes the split-coil formula that defined the instrument and runs it through a vintage-correct build process. Each of the two bobbins is reverse wound with reverse polarity against the other, so together they cancel hum while keeping that woody, punchy P-Bass voice intact — no single-coil buzz, no compromise in tone.
Every unit is hand fabricated using old-school winding methods and finished with authentic “push back” cloth braid hookup wire, the kind that gives vintage electronics their distinct feel and look under the hood. The covers arrive pre-aged in black, so the pickup looks like it’s already earned its stripes, and Seymour Duncan includes schematics plus mounting screws to make installation straightforward.
