Description
Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity Tele Lead picks up where the earliest flat-pole Telecaster bridge pickups left off. Once Fender noticed the D and G strings were getting lost in the mix, they raised those two pole pieces above the flatwork — and that small tweak is exactly what this pickup recreates. The result is a bridge pickup with better string-to-string balance and a touch more output than the original flat-pole design, without losing any of that twangy, cutting Tele character.
This is the lead (bridge) position pickup, calibrated and wound with a top-coming winding direction and south magnet polarity. It’s built to Antiquity spec for players chasing genuine mid-’50s tone rather than a modern, scooped-out version of it — think snap, bite, and just enough grit to feel broken-in.
