The AS-1S Blackouts Hot Strat Set takes the aggressive, high-output character Seymour Duncan’s Blackouts are known for and shrinks it down to fit a single-coil sized shell. That means you get humbucker-level punch and clarity without giving up the classic Strat look, so your guitar keeps its vintage lines while the electronics get a serious upgrade.
Being active pickups, they run hot and consistent regardless of your cable length or how many pedals you’re chaining in front of the amp. Rhythm tones come out tight and chunky, while leads push through with a searing, compressed edge that stays clear even at high gain. If you’re layering in overdrive, fuzz, or other signal processing, these are built to drive that front end hard.
A dual pin jumper lets you switch between two output levels on the fly, and the set is also wired to accept an optional mini switch for an extra boost stage – handy if you want a solo-ready jump in volume without reaching for a pedal.
