What sets the Black Winter apart from generic high-output metal humbuckers is the EQ curve. Instead of just piling on bass and calling it “heavy,” Seymour Duncan dialed in punishing mids and enough treble bite to keep palm-muted chugs articulate and lead lines cutting through a wall of gain. The neck and bridge units are calibrated together, so rhythm and lead tones feel like two halves of the same weapon rather than mismatched pickups fighting for headroom.
