It’s a hum-free trio built for riff-heavy rhythm work and soaring, vocal-like leads.
The bridge Hot Rails brings a thick, aggressive crunch with plenty of cutting harmonic edge for palm-muted riffing. The JB Jr. sits in the middle purely for utility, adding punch and clarity when you flip to positions 2, 3, or 4 without fighting the outer pickups for headroom. Up top, the neck Hot Rails delivers the warm, singing lead voice Murray’s known for – smooth enough for expressive bends, still articulate enough to cut through a dense mix.
Every pickup in the set uses small ceramic magnets and 4-conductor splittable lead wire, so you’ve got splitting options built in if you ever want to explore true single-coil tones down the road. All three are vacuum wax potted, keeping things quiet and squeal-free even at higher gain.
