Skip the soldering iron and drop Dave Murray’s signature attack straight into your Strat. This pickguard arrives fully loaded with the same configuration Murray runs live: a JB Jr. humbucker sandwiched between two Hot Rails, all wired and ready for install.
The Hot Rails in the bridge push out a thick, aggressive crunch with plenty of harmonic bite for palm-muted riffing and screaming leads alike. Drop into the middle JB Jr. and you get sharp punch and clarity across positions 2, 3, and 4 — great for cutting through a dense mix. The neck Hot Rails handles the smooth, vocal-like lead tone Murray is known for, with none of the 60-cycle hum single coils usually bring to the party.
Every pickup on this guard is hand-built in Santa Barbara using small ceramic magnets, 4-conductor splittable lead wire for extra wiring flexibility, and vacuum wax potting to keep things squeal-free at stage volume. The whole assembly follows the standard 11-screw USA pickguard pattern, so if your Strat’s routing matches, this drops right in.
