This pickguard replicates Dave Murray’s exact stage rig: a humbucking Hot Rails in the bridge, a JB Jr. single-coil in the middle, and another Hot Rails up at the neck. It’s the same combo behind decades of galloping rhythm parts and soaring, vibrato-heavy leads—no hum, no fuss.
The bridge Hot Rails pushes out a thick, aggressive crunch with plenty of top-end bite for cutting through a wall of gain. Drop into positions 2 and 4 and the JB Jr. steps in with tight, articulate punch that keeps chords from turning to mud. Switch to the neck and the second Hot Rails takes over, delivering the warm, vocal sustain Murray leans on for his signature solos.
Every pickup on this guard is built with small ceramic magnets and 4-conductor splittable lead wire, then vacuum wax potted so you get dead-quiet, squeal-free performance even at high gain. The whole assembly is hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA on an authentic 11-screw USA pickguard pattern, so it drops into your Strat without any routing or drilling.
