Description
This is the exact humbucker pairing Dimebag Darrell relied on for that unmistakable Pantera snarl — crunchy, saturated, but never falling apart into fuzz. The set gives you both halves of his signature tone: a razor bridge pickup and a smoother neck voice built to trade solos without stepping on each other.
- Bridge — Dimebucker: Ceramic bar magnet with dual stainless steel blades for a thick, slightly compressed crunch that sags just right under a hard pick attack. Mids are scooped, low end stays tight and full, and the top end cuts without turning harsh. 4-conductor lead wire opens up multiple wiring options, and it’s vacuum wax potted to stay quiet at stage volume.
- Neck — ’59 Bridge Model: Dime’s choice for balancing the aggressive Dimebucker, this vintage-style humbucker brings warmth and smooth sustain, with cloth braid hookup wire for an old-school look and feel. Also wax potted for squeal-free performance.
Both pickups are hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, so you’re getting the same craftsmanship that went into Dime’s own guitars — output with enough gain to push your amp into saturation, but controlled enough that the tone stays musical rather than chaotic. Think low end that thumps you in the chest while the highs bite without slicing your face off.
This bundle also includes a free set of Elixir Custom Light guitar strings, so you can drop the new pickups in and restring in one go.
