Description
This is the exact humbucker pairing Dimebag Darrell built his sound around: aggressive enough to carry a Pantera riff, but never so hot it turns to mush. The bridge Dimebucker was voiced specifically to his taste — scooped mids, a crunchy pick attack, and a distortion character that saturates and sags just right when you dig in. Under the hood it’s a ceramic bar magnet with dual stainless steel blades, wired with 4-conductor lead for flexible switching, and vacuum wax potted to stay quiet even at high gain.
For the neck, Dime skipped a matching Dimebucker and went with the ’59 Bridge instead — its smoother, more vintage-leaning output balances the aggressive bridge tone and gives solos extra bite without losing warmth. It’s built full vintage-spec, cloth braid hookup wire included, and also wax potted for squeal-free performance.
Together they cover the whole Dimebag palette: tight low end, a top end that cuts without shredding your face off, and just enough saturation to feel dangerous. Both pickups are hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA.
