Description
If you love the Jaguar’s twang but wish it had a bit more muscle behind it, this SJAG-2N/SJAG-2B set from Seymour Duncan is built for exactly that. Both pickups are true single-coils, overwound to deliver a fatter, more aggressive voice than a vintage-spec Jaguar pickup while keeping the character that makes the platform special.
The SJAG-2N neck pickup thickens up chords and pushes solos further forward in the mix, with extra midrange and cut over a traditional wind. It’s wound RWRP (reverse wind, reverse polarity), so paired with the SJAG-2B bridge you get hum-cancelling performance in the middle position. The SJAG-2B bridge pickup takes that same recipe and turns up the heat further, giving you a hot-rodded bridge tone with real bite for cutting through a full band mix.
Construction on both is hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, a custom coil wind, and vintage-correct Forbon flatwork. The neck pickup uses cloth push-back hook-up wire, and every pickup is wax potted to keep things quiet at higher gain. Both are drop-in replacements sized for Fender American Standard Jaguar pickups and slot straight into the original cover and claw hardware.
