Extended range guitars need pickups that don’t buckle under a low F# and B, and the Invader Active Mount is built exactly for that job. Seymour Duncan stacked three ceramic bar magnets under overwound coils and oversized metal oxide pole pieces, widening the magnetic field so the extreme low strings translate into real amp signal instead of flabby noise. Chords stay tight, palm mutes hit like a wall, and single-note runs cut through without getting swallowed by all that low-end mass.
This is the bridge version – the aggressive half of the pairing – voiced for maximum thump and saturation while keeping pick attack articulate. Pair it with the Invader neck for a matched set that’s as intimidating visually as it is sonically, or run it against a ’59 or Jazz neck pickup if you want a calmer, more traditional rhythm voice up front while the bridge stays vicious.
The soapbar cover is finished in black with two rows of exposed, adjustable hex pole pieces, giving it that modern active-pickup look while it’s actually a fully passive humbucker. It’s designed as a straightforward retrofit for 7 or 8-string guitars already routed for an active-style pickup.
