Description
P90s have long been the pickup for players who know something the rest of the room doesn’t. They sit right in the sweet spot between a single coil’s snap and a humbucker’s rounder push, thanks largely to their wide, flat coil shape. That in-between voice is exactly why so many players won’t touch anything else — you get articulate treble and pick attack, but with more meat and midrange than a typical single coil delivers.
The catch has always been noise. Being single-coil pickups at heart, standard P90s pick up hum and buzz, especially under gain or near noisy stage lighting and dimmers. The Seymour Duncan P90 Silencer solves that problem at the source, using a hum-cancelling design that kills the noise without smothering the tone that makes P90s worth having in the first place.
This is the bridge-position model in the classic soapbar shape, finished in Hot Black, built to drop into any guitar routed for a standard P90 soapbar pickup.
- Hum-cancelling P90 design — quiet operation without sacrificing P90 character
- Bridge position, soapbar format
- Hot Black cosmetic finish
- Delivers classic P90 bite and midrange push with humbucker-adjacent warmth
If you’ve always loved the idea of a P90 but couldn’t live with the hum, this is the pickup that lets you stop compromising.
