Description
The Pearly Gates started life as an attempt to bottle the exact humbucker tone found in a treasured ’59 Les Paul Standard — the guitar behind the raw, snarling sound of Texas blues-rock. This Trembucker version keeps that same sweet-but-rude character and simply widens the pole spacing to ‘F’ spacing, so it drops straight into tremolo-equipped, Fender-spaced, and post-1999 Gibson instruments without any pole misalignment under the strings.
Output-wise it sits just above true vintage territory — enough push for real sustain and harmonics that leap off the fretboard, but never so hot that it loses the airy, articulate top end this pickup is famous for. It cleans up nicely on lower guitar volume for blues phrasing, then snarls convincingly when you dig in for classic rock, southern rock, jam-band jamming, or harder rock riffing.
- Trembucker (‘F’-spaced) humbucker for tremolo bridges and Fender-spaced necks/bridges
- Slightly hotter-than-vintage output with vintage-style clarity and sustain
- Bright, harmonically rich top end
- Four-conductor hookup cable for full flexibility in coil-split or series/parallel wiring
- Finish: White
If your playing lives somewhere between blues-rock grit and classic hard rock crunch, and your guitar needs the wider pole spacing, the Pearly Gates Trembucker delivers that ’59-Les-Paul magic without forcing you into narrow spacing you don’t have.
