Description
The SH-11 Custom Custom takes Seymour Duncan’s SH-5 Duncan Custom blueprint and swaps in an Alnico II magnet, softening the attack while thickening the midrange. The result is a bridge humbucker that trades some of the SH-5’s edge for warmer highs and a rounder, spongier low end – without giving up the output you need to push an amp into overdrive.
It’s aimed squarely at bright-sounding guitars that could use some midrange body and a bit of vintage character mixed into a higher-output package. Players chasing classic rock, blues, country, or heavier rock tones will find it sits comfortably between vintage warmth and modern push, making it a natural upgrade for anyone who loves the idea of a PAF but wants more headroom before it breaks up.
- Alnico II magnet for smoother highs and added midrange girth
- Higher output than the standard SH-5, with a softer low end
- Four-conductor hookup cable for full coil-splitting and phase flexibility
- Designed and recommended for the bridge position
- Pairs especially well with a Pearly Gates in the neck for bluesy, vintage PAF voicing
Finished in white to match or contrast your pickguard and hardware, the SH-11 is a straightforward drop-in for guitarists who want vintage-leaning tone with a bit more muscle behind it.
