The SH-11 Custom Custom takes Seymour Duncan’s SH-5 Custom formula and reworks it with an Alnico II magnet in place of the standard ceramic. The result is a bridge humbucker that keeps the Custom’s signature high output but rounds off the edges — highs turn warmer and smoother, midrange fills in more, and the low end gets a bit spongier and more compliant than the original SH-5.
If you love the idea of a vintage-flavored P.A.F. voice but need more push for gain-heavy playing, this is the pickup built for that middle ground. It’s equally at home carving out twangy pop and country leads, growling through blues bends, or driving classic and heavy rock riffs with authority.
