Description
Some humbuckers whisper. The Invader shouts. Seymour Duncan built this set around three oversized ceramic magnets per pickup and overwound coils, so it hits your amp with a dense, saturated push that’s built for riffing hard and staying articulate while you do it. Twelve black oxide cap screws anchor the coils and give the black-on-black cosmetic a suitably aggressive look on the bass strings.
- SH-8n (neck): the wide magnetic aperture keeps rhythm chords thick and chunky without turning to mud, translating that ceramic punch into a full-bodied low end.
- SH-8 (bridge): rated at 16.8k ohms, this is the higher-output half of the pair, trading some of the glassy top-end for a brighter, more forward attack that cuts through a mix in a way vintage-style bridge pickups can’t.
Both pickups arrive ready to install, with a wiring diagram and mounting screws included, so getting them into your guitar is straightforward whether you’re doing a full rewire or a straight swap.
This particular listing also throws in a free set of Elixir Custom Light guitar strings, giving you a fresh, ready-to-tune platform to actually hear what the new pickups are doing the moment you plug back in.
If your playing lives in drop tunings, high-gain rhythm work, or you just want a humbucker set that refuses to sound polite, the Invader pair is built for exactly that job.
