Seymour Duncan built it as a faithful recreation of the pickups in that iconic guitar, and it still nails the brief: warm and vintage-flavored but pushed just a touch hotter, with a bright, articulate top end that lets harmonics leap out on command. There’s a sweetness to the voice, but it’s got attitude too — sustain for days and just enough grit to keep things honest.
