Description
The SJAG-2 takes the classic Jaguar single-coil formula and turns the output knob up. Both the neck and bridge pickups are hand-built with hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a custom coil wind that pushes well past vintage-spec output, giving you a fatter, more aggressive voice without losing the twang that makes a Jaguar a Jaguar. Chords fill out, leads push forward, and the extra midrange helps you cut through a band mix that a stock Jag pickup usually can’t.
Construction is true to the platform’s roots where it matters: vintage correct Forbon flatwork keeps the build authentic, cloth push-back hook-up wire is used on the neck unit, and every pickup is wax potted to keep squeal and microphonic feedback out of the equation on stage.
The neck pickup is wound RWRP (reverse wind, reverse polarity), so when it’s paired with the Hot Jaguar bridge, the two work together as a hum-cancelling combination in the middle position — a detail that matters a lot on a guitar known for single-coil hum.
Both pickups are direct drop-in replacements sized for Fender American Standard Jaguar pickups, fitting straight into your existing covers and claw hardware. Note: covers and claw are not included with either pickup.
