This YJM Fury pickguard arrives fully loaded and prewired, cut to the 11-screw USA Stratocaster pattern, so it drops straight into your guitar and you’re gigging the same afternoon. Every pickguard is hand-assembled in Seymour Duncan’s Santa Barbara shop, complete with the high-speed, no-lube volume pot Yngwie insists on for instant, friction-free response under his right hand.
The bridge pickup is wound hotter than its neck and middle mates, giving it the backbone to survive Malmsteen’s rapid-fire chordal attacks while keeping the top end smooth rather than shrill. It’s voiced for clarity under gain without ever turning brittle.
Neck and middle share a sweeter, more balanced character that tracks legato runs and dynamic pick attack with real nuance — articulate enough to reveal every finger movement, but never harsh.
All three pickups use Seymour Duncan’s Stack design, a bottom coil (patented back in the ’80s) that cancels 60-cycle hum by injecting an opposing signal into the circuit. Each pickup is individually fine-tuned at the end of production for maximum noise rejection, so you get classic single-coil chime and quack with dead-silent operation — no hum, no compromise.
