Description
The SSH+ is Suhr’s answer for players who want humbucker power without losing edge. Where the DSH+ smooths things over with its double row of screws, the SSH+ keeps one row of screws and one row of slugs, giving it a more focused, cutting attack that stays articulate even under heavy gain.
Built around a hand-selected Alnico V magnet and wound to 17 kOhm DC resistance at the bridge, this pickup has the output to push into classic rock and 80s shred territory while still cleaning up nicely when you back off the volume knob. It’s genuinely versatile — warm jazz-rock fusion tones, biting modern high-gain riffing, and everything in between are all on the table, thanks to Suhr’s approach of designing pickups that work with your guitar’s wood rather than fighting it.
Comes wired with 4-conductor hookup wire, so you’ve got the flexibility to split coils, run series/parallel switching, or wire it however your setup demands. The nickel cover is sized for standard 50mm Gibson-style pole spacing, making it a straightforward swap into most humbucker-routed guitars.
