Description
John Suhr didn’t just guess at what made old single-coils special—he pulled apart the good ones and the bad ones to find out why some vintage pickups sing while others just sit there. That research turned into the V60 series, and the V60LP bridge model takes it a step further with a low-peak response that tames the harsh glassiness some vintage-style pickups can get in the bridge slot.
Under the hood you’ll find the same magnet spec used in the real 60’s-era pickups Suhr studied, paired with a handwound coil pattern that mirrors early-60’s construction. The result is a bridge pickup that keeps the bell-like clarity and firm low end associated with great vintage single-coils, but rounds off the peak so the highs come across sweeter and less brittle—especially useful once you’re driving an amp into overdrive.
- Hot Bridge version, DC Resistance: 7.2K ohms
