Description
Tom Anderson’s H series humbuckers were designed to fix the two things that annoy tone-obsessed players most: harsh, fuzzy overdrive and uneven output across the strings. This set pairs the H3+ in the bridge with the H2 in the neck, giving you a full-range humbucker combo that stays open and articulate whether you’re riding clean tones or pushing into gain.
- Larger pole pieces and reworked string spacing create a genuinely uniform magnetic field, so you don’t get the classic high-E or low-E dropout that plagues a lot of humbuckers
- 4-conductor shielded lead wire on every pickup, giving you full flexibility for coil splitting, series/parallel switching, or whatever wiring scheme your build calls for
- H3+ (bridge): a hotter, full-bodied voice with the same clarity and openness the H series is known for — measures 2-3/4″ long, 1-3/8″ wide, 3/4″ deep, with pole spacing just under 2-1/8″ low-E to high-E (53mm)
- H2 (neck): one of Anderson’s most-loved pickups for a medium-hot, clear voice that never turns brittle or harsh, even under drive
Together they give you an H series pairing that spans mild to hot output while staying cohesive from neck to bridge — and thanks to the 4-conductor wiring, quite possibly some of the best-splitting humbuckers you’ll find for coil-tapped tones.
