Description
The Two Notes ReVolt Guitar is a real 12AX7 tube preamp (running at 200V) built for players who want amp-in-a-box tone without giving up analog feel. Instead of modeling anything digitally, it draws its three channels straight from a genuine tube gain stage voiced after three amp legends: American Clean (Fender Bassman 100 flavor), British Crunch (Marshall JMP Superlead territory), and Modern Lead (Soldano SLO-100 style saturation). Push the Clean channel and it breaks up naturally into edge-of-dirt grit; the Crunch and Lead channels share a 3-band EQ that swings from rock roar to tight, scooped high-gain.
Wiring it in is where ReVolt really shows its range. Run it straight into a PA or interface and lean on the onboard analog cab sim (modeled on a Marshall Slash Jubilee 4×12) for a convincing miked-cab sound with no cab in sight. Prefer to keep your amp in the chain? Use the 4-Cable Method to bolt three extra channels onto your existing rig, or hit the FX return for a hybrid setup that pairs ReVolt’s preamp with your amp’s own power section. An FX loop and front-of-chain access make it effects-friendly for pedalboard builders, and the all-metal chassis is built to survive the van life.
Every channel gets its own OD-Boost circuit with dedicated footswitch and level knob for extra push on solos, and the whole unit comes with a lifetime license to Two Notes’ GENOME software—unlocking 10 DynIR virtual cabinets (8 mics each, dual mic-ing, 10,000 mic positions, equivalent to 160,000 IRs) for deep post-pedal tone sculpting. MIDI I/O and a 3.5mm headphone jack round it out for silent practice or studio recall.
