Description
This bundle takes two of DiMarzio’s most versatile humbuckers and puts them in one box, ready to drop into your solid or semi-hollow body guitar. The DP193BK Air Norton lives in the neck slot, using DiMarzio’s patented Air Norton magnetic structure to cut string pull so notes bloom with more sustain and dynamics respond to your pick attack instead of fighting it. Tonally it’s deep and warm without turning to mud, plus it throws off harmonic content that’s rare for a neck humbucker. Wire it to 500K pots if you want extra treble sparkle and harmonic bite.
Down at the bridge, the DP155BK Tone Zone brings serious low-mid weight and bass reinforcement, so chords sound massive and single notes carry real depth. It’s a hot pickup, but the dynamic range stays wide — dig in for full-on power, back off for a cleaner, quieter voice. Patented dual-resonance coils keep the overtone content lively even with all that output, and switching to split-coil mode gives you a convincing single-coil tone when you need it. The two pickups are a natural pairing, balancing airiness up top with punch down low for a classic power-and-tone blend.
Rounding out the set are Ernie Ball EB2221 Regular Slinky strings, so you’ve got fresh strings ready to go alongside your new pickups.
