Description
This DiMarzio set pairs two of the company’s most versatile humbuckers for players who want power without losing nuance. The DP193BK Air Norton in the neck position uses DiMarzio’s patented Air Norton magnetic structure to cut string pull, which means longer sustain and a touch response that actually reacts to how you pick. It’s deep and warm but never mushy, with surprising harmonic content for a neck pickup — try it into 500K pots if you want extra treble sparkle.
Loaded into the bridge is the DP155BK Tone Zone, DiMarzio’s answer to thin, buzzy-sounding bridge pickups. It’s hot enough to be classed high-output, but the dynamic range is wide: dig in and it roars, back off and it cleans up nicely. Expect reinforced bass and low-mids, huge-sounding chords, and single notes with real depth. The patented dual-resonance coils pull more overtones out of the pickup than you’d expect from something this fat-sounding, and it also splits cleanly into a convincing single-coil tone.
Both pickups use 4-conductor wiring for coil-splitting flexibility and are built around Alnico 5 magnets, making this an ideal match for solid-body and semi-hollow guitars looking for a medium-to-high output blues-rock voice. A set of Ernie Ball EB2222 Hybrid Slinky strings is included to round out the package.

- Tone Zone (bridge): 4-conductor, Alnico 5, 375mV output, 17.31 Kohm DC resistance
