The PAF Master series is DiMarzio’s answer to players chasing that elusive vintage humbucker magic — quiet, articulate, and dynamic without sacrificing character. This set pairs the DP260BC neck with the F-spaced DP261FBC bridge, both finished in black and creme bobbins, and throws in a set of Ernie Ball EB2221 Regular Slinky strings so you can restring the moment the new pickups go in.
- DP260BC Neck: Alnico 5 magnet, 4-conductor wiring, 193mV output, 7.37 Kohm DC resistance. Voiced with just enough winding to stay clear and singing — full and throaty without turning muddy, with smooth, creamy top end and plenty of sustain.
- DP261FBC Bridge (F-Spaced): Alnico 4 magnet, 4-conductor wiring (1-conductor optional), 278mV output, 7.69 Kohm DC resistance. Dynamic and touch-responsive, this one rewards dig-in playing with a snarly, thick rock and roll bite, and it holds up cleanly on chords, not just single notes.
Together they cover the classic PAF territory — warm and articulate up the neck, punchy and aggressive at the bridge — while staying dead quiet compared to true vintage-spec units. The F-spaced bridge model makes this set a natural fit for guitars with floating or Floyd-style bridges where string spacing runs wider.
Ernie Ball’s EB2221 Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046) round out the bundle, giving you fresh strings to break in alongside your new pickups.
