The PowerTap Infinity takes Fishman’s proven Acoustic Matrix Infinity undersaddle pickup and gives it a dance partner: a brand-new Tap body sensor mounted on the soundboard. Instead of just capturing string vibration, you’re now picking up the guitar’s actual top movement — taps, slaps, and the ambient breath of the box itself — opening up a percussive, dynamic palette that undersaddle-only systems simply can’t touch.
A soundhole-mounted Blend control lets you mix the Rare Earth undersaddle signal with the Tap sensor in mono, or run them as two independent stereo channels for separate EQ, effects, and level shaping — essentially turning one acoustic into two distinct sound sources.
Fishman redesigned the control housing into a sealed, soft-touch enclosure for smoother Volume and Tone adjustments on the fly, and relocated the preamp’s voicing switch so it’s easier to reach and tune for different body sizes, amps, and stages.

This PRO-MAT-PT1 is the Wide Format undersaddle, 1/8″ (3.2mm) wide, standard length 2.65″ (67.3mm), fitting most guitars with 2.5″ (63.5mm) string spacing. The Tap body sensor measures 2.54″ (64.4mm) wide by .68″ (17.3mm) high. Runs on a 9-volt battery. Other saddle formats and custom lengths available by special order; professional installation strongly recommended.
