The Kent Armstrong Hot Rod Series Rebel (TL4F) is a neck pickup made for players who love the traditional Tele voice but want a touch more push behind it. It keeps the warm, woody character neck pickups are known for, but the winding is dialed in slightly hotter and brighter than a standard vintage-style Tele neck unit, so single-note lines and chords alike come through with a little extra sparkle and punch.
This is the reverse-wound counterpart to the TL4R, making it the natural choice if you’re building out a hum-cancelling neck/bridge pairing. It’s wired with two separate insulated lead wires, giving you the flexibility to set up series/parallel switching, coil-tapping, or other custom wiring schemes rather than being locked into a simple single-conductor hookup.
