Description
Every great pickup design has an origin story, and this one starts with Glenn Schwartz — a guitarist from the early James Gang and Pacific Gas & Electric who ran a battered Epiphone Sheraton loaded with mini-humbuckers. Seymour Duncan heard that tone and decided it needed to exist again. The Antiquity II Mini-Humbucker Neck pickup is the result: a faithfully aged, vintage-correct recreation built to deliver that same huge, woody character with a touch of jangle up top.
Don’t let the small footprint fool you. Mini-humbuckers pack a surprising amount of clarity and midrange punch, and this neck version measures in at 6.7K DC ohms with 3.22 henries of inductance, giving you a tone that’s articulate rather than muddy — great for cutting through a mix without losing warmth. It’s built to drop straight into a P-90 soapbar-style mounting ring, and the adjustable pole pieces let you dial in string-to-string balance to taste.
