Description
The Antiquity II Surf set chases that elusive vintage Strat voice — glassy top end, punchy low end, and just enough grit to sound like it’s been through a few decades of gigs. Seymour Duncan built these to be aged both tonally and cosmetically, so the pickups look and sound like they’ve earned their scars, but they still deliver reliable output for whatever style you throw at them, whether that’s surf twang, West Side blues, jangly indie chords, or soulful R&B.
- Neck (Surfer): 6.3K DC resistance, 2.87 henries inductance, Q of 2.39 — staggered south-polarity magnets raised above the flatwork for that classic sparkle.
- Bridge (Custom Bridge): Hotter at 9.7K DC resistance, 4.08 henries inductance, Q of 2.52, giving the bridge position extra push without losing clarity.
- Middle (Surfer RW/RP): Same specs as the neck pickup, wound and wired in reverse for silent hum-cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
All three pickups share the same physical footprint — 2.642″ top length, .615″ top width, 3.392″ bottom length, .908″ bottom width — with a total pickup height of .582″ and magnet height of .705″. Covers measure 2.750″ x .700″ x .495″, and height adjustment is handled with standard 6/32 oval-head Phillips screws. Each pickup is calibrated at the factory to work together as a matched set.
This bundle also throws in a set of Ernie Ball EB2222 Hybrid Slinky strings, so you can restring your Strat and hear the new pickups at their best right out of the box.
