The Screamin’ Demon Trembucker started life in Seymour Duncan’s Custom Shop as a personal request from George Lynch, and it still carries that same appetite for aggressive rock tones. Think of it as a cousin to the beloved ’59 Model, sharing that big, open PAF-style character but trading some of the ’59’s bite for a rawer, more guttural growl underneath.
What makes this pickup stand apart mechanically is its mixed screw setup – one row of Allen screws paired with one row of standard slotted screws. It’s not just a cosmetic quirk; that combination contributes to a distinctive airy quality in the sound, opening up the top end without letting it turn brittle or harsh. Output sits in moderate territory, so you get plenty of headroom for dynamics while still having enough push to drive an amp into satisfying overdrive.
Tonally, expect a percussive attack with defined highs and a low end that stays tight rather than muddy. It’s equally at home carving out classic rock riffs, weaving through jazz-rock fusion lines, or anchoring heavy and aggressive instrumental rock playing. This is the Trembucker (wide-spacing) version, built for the bridge position, finished in white, and wired with four-conductor hookup cable so you’ve got the flexibility for coil-splitting, series/parallel switching, or other custom wiring schemes.
