Description
Doug Aldrich’s namesake bridge pickup was built to do one thing exceptionally well: cut through a wall of gain without turning to mush. Suhr wound this humbucker hot — 17.5K ohms DC resistance — but kept the string separation and note definition that hard rockers need for fast, articulate lead work. Chords stay tight, single notes sing, and the top end never gets brittle or ice-picky.
This is the Gibson-style version, built to 50mm pole spacing for a direct drop into Les Paul-style bridges and any guitar routed for standard humbucker spacing. It ships in the classic black/white zebra coil look and wired with 4-conductor lead wire, so you’ve got the flexibility to split the coils, wire it in series/parallel, or run it straight into your existing harness.
Every Suhr pickup starts from the same philosophy: study what made the best vintage examples sound great, then build it with modern consistency and quality control. That’s the JS Technologies approach founded by John Suhr and Steve Smith back in 1997, and it’s why players from Scott Henderson to Guthrie Govan trust Suhr electronics on stage and in the studio.
