Suhr’s SSH+ bridge humbucker is voiced for players who need their lead lines to slice through a dense mix without losing low-end weight. The Alnico V magnet gives it a slightly compressed, vocal midrange while keeping the attack tight, so palm-muted riffs stay defined instead of turning to mud.
At 17KΩ DC resistance, there’s plenty of output on tap for pushing an amp into natural saturation, but the top end stays articulate rather than harsh — you get shimmering harmonics on bends and pinch harmonics that actually speak clearly. It’s a solid match for rock rhythm work and classic metal leads alike, especially in bridge position where a lot of pickups either get too dark or too brittle.
This particular unit comes in the Zebra colorway with 53mm pole spacing, wired with 4-conductor hook-up wire so you’ve got full flexibility for coil-splitting, series/parallel switching, or standard humbucker wiring depending on how your guitar’s electronics are set up.
