The SSV+ is Suhr’s answer for players who love the warmth of a classic PAF but need more shove to stay on top of a dense band mix. It keeps the vintage humbucker DNA intact — the same touch-sensitive dynamics and harmonic complexity that made old-school PAFs legendary — then dials in a bit more push so single-note lines and chords cut through overdriven amps without turning brittle.

Built with an Alnico V magnet and a 4-conductor hookup wire for coil-split flexibility, this bridge-position pickup measures 10k Ohms DC resistance, giving it enough girth for rock and blues while staying articulate enough for jazz voicings and fusion runs. It’s genre-agnostic in the best way: equally at home under a Telecaster-style twang lick, a screaming rock solo, or a smoky blues bend.

This listing is the double-row screw version, which Suhr voices for a slightly sweeter, rounder top end compared to the single-screw variant’s more aggressive midrange honk — worth knowing if you’re chasing a specific flavor of bite.
